Joylene M. Bailey grew up on the Canadian prairies where rolling hills, just-mowed hay and the meadowlark’s trill make her heart sing. She will always be a prairie girl at heart. Joy writes because. What began as making up childhood stories to put herself to sleep at night, became creating stories and songs for her three daughters. This entertainment morphed into writing articles and stories for children’s publications. Since then she has written short stories, poetry, songs, devotionals, and is working on a novel. Joy hosts a merry and productive writers group in Edmonton, Alberta where she lives with her husband and daughter number three. She shares her joy-infused view of the world at www.scrapsofjoy.com.
